STETON S350A Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig
The S350A sits at the very top of the list of the highest-capacity, most efficient steerable horizontal drilling rigs that can be transported on a single truck. Thanks to its high-engineering diesel-hydraulic drive system, it converts the power from the diesel engine into motion with the highest efficiency. Its patented power-transmission technology minimises losses, producing more power with less fuel. This gives it a torque value of 15,832 Nm that no other machine in its class can match. Also, like all Steton steerable horizontal drilling rigs, instead of using ordinary off-the-shelf market software, it runs its own software designed specifically for each machine by Steton engineers to get the most out of it. This makes operations such as fault diagnosis, improvement and function upgrades easy — and even possible remotely. While the thrust of chain-driven machines drops by half by design, the thrust and pullback of the rack & pinion S350A are equal. This value can also be increased up to double (70 tonnes) on request with Boost Mode.
| Push / Pull | 35 tonnes (Boost: 70 tonnes) |

| Rotary torque | 15,832 Nm |
| Mud flow | 400 L/min |
| Engine power | 153 kW |
| Engine | FIAT / CUMMINS Euro 5 |

Which projects is the S350A for?
A mid class for municipal networks and mid-diameter lines. Handles the diameters and distances the compact class cannot, without the transport and footprint burden of the heavy class. Covers most urban trunk-line and road crossings.
Share your pipe diameter, crossing length and soil class; we will confirm over the phone whether the S350A is enough for the job, or whether the class above or below fits better. Rig selection guide →

About the STETON S350A.
How much pullback does the STETON S350A have?
Nominal push/pull is 35 tonnes; Boost mode briefly raises pullback to 70 tonnes. Boost is for freeing a stuck pipe, not a continuous working value.
Which projects suit the STETON S350A?

Which rods and bits work with the S350A?
Rods matched to the rig thread standard, a directional bit or rock bit chosen for the soil class, a sonde housing, reamers and a swivel. All of it ships from Boremak stock; share your soil survey and we will specify the tool set together.
How much does the STETON S350A cost?
The price depends on the rod package, initial tooling set, locating system and delivery terms. Call us for a firm quotation on the S350A.
