STETON S1350 Horizontal Directional Drilling Rig
The S1350 is a maxi-class rig that pulls pipe up to Ø1500 mm with 1350 kN of thrust and pullback. Its 55,000 Nm of torque and 1000 L/min of mud flow deliver the two figures needed together to keep the bore clean while running a large reamer. The 6,000 mm rods cut the number of rod connections on a 1000-metre line appreciably, shortening the crossing and reducing the risk of connection-related failure. With Ø114 and Ø127 mm rod options, the same rig adapts to different ground and diameter scenarios.

S1350 at work.
Which projects is the S1350 for?
A maxi class for river and strait crossings, marine outfalls and large-diameter transmission mains. It works on single crossings approaching a kilometre and on pipe diameters beyond what the mid classes can carry. Site footprint, transport and crew planning are set per project; the rig is supplied to order.
Share your pipe diameter, crossing length and soil class; we will confirm over the phone whether the S1350 is enough for the job, or whether the class above or below fits better. Rig selection guide →

About the STETON S1350.
How much pullback does the STETON S1350 have?
Push/pull force is 135 tonnes. As pipe diameter and crossing length grow, the rig is chosen with a margin above this figure.
Which projects suit the STETON S1350?
A maxi class for river and strait crossings, marine outfalls and large-diameter transmission mains. Which rods and bits work with the S1350?
Rods matched to the rig thread standard, a directional bit or rock bit chosen for the soil class, a sonde housing, reamers and a swivel. All of it ships from Boremak stock; share your soil survey and we will specify the tool set together.
How much does the STETON S1350 cost?
The price depends on the rod package, initial tooling set, locating system and delivery terms. Call us for a firm quotation on the S1350.
